Madhav & Friends: Bhagavad Geetā through everyday stories

A short story series inspired by the Bhagavad Geetā

We often think that Bhagavad Geetā is meant for monks, scholars, or those who’ve renounced the world.

But what if I told you it’s actually for all of us? Everyone who is navigating careers, relationships, decisions, and everyday dilemmas?

That’s where this short story series comes in.

Madhav & Friends is a collection of short, fictional stories.

But their purpose is real — to make the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Geetā feel practical, relatable, and alive.

The stories revolve around four friends — Madhav, Radhika, Sudarshan, and Varun — who are just like you and me. They go through what we all go through: confusion, heartbreak, addiction, anger, idealism, ambition, and loss. But in the middle of it all, there’s Madhav — not a preacher or a guru, but a grounded seeker, who brings clarity through his quiet reflections on the Geetā.

Each chapter explores one key teaching from the Bhagavad Geetā — not by quoting verses, but by letting life reveal it.

These aren’t moral tales. They’re not meant to tell you what’s right or wrong. Instead, they’re written to make you pause and reflect. To turn your attention inward. To rediscover that spirituality isn’t separate from everyday life — it is embedded in it.

What can you expect?

Five chapters are ready so far:

More may follow. Or maybe not. Because this isn’t a project, it’s a practice.

If any of theses stories touches you, makes you reflect, or helps you see something differently — then the Bhagavad Geetā has done its job.

Hope you enjoy reading these as much as it gave me contentment while writing them.
