Ṣharaṇāgati : Surrender to the Divine Ṣharaṇāgati - Every Bhakt’s dilemma On the path of Love, the ego dissolves through Ṣharaṇāgati - surrender to the Divine. For many walking the path of devotion, the idea of surrender is beautiful yet baffling.  Every spiritual master preaching Bhakti, speaks of surrender. But what exactly is surrender? Is it being careless? Or is it being carefree? And in any case, how would anyone go about their daily life? There is work, there is family, there are social obligations. Who will handle these if I am supposed to surrender? Decoding the Ego Spirituality is not external behaviour. It is about internal perspective. Hence, Ṣharaṇāgati also is not just external surrender. I thought I knew love. But my love was always wanting — even from God. God showed me what true love is: By accepting me with all my faults By giving without expecting By staying — even when I had abandoned HIM. That is true love. Love which only HE is capable of. Love is not: Physical attraction An emotional high A poetic expression A dramatic act Love is: Sacrifice ...
