We live in an age where everyone is giving out advice, and social media provides a perfect platform to share it.

The ones who have hardly seen life are giving life advice. Younger voices speak with clarity. Influencers drop life lessons in punchy one-liners. 

The world listens to these virtual influencers because their voice sounds confident, the format is new age, and the advice is laced with immediate action.

And yet, everyone is still searching for happiness.

Advice confused for Wisdom

Advice is something which is very situational. It often provides an immediate solution for a specific situation. Advice helps when you need to quickly resolve an issue, or react to a particular situation.

But advice does not necessarily address the root of the issue. And that’s why even when people follow advice, they are still looking for answers, for happiness, for peace.

Because each one of us is built uniquely, and what works for one may not work for the other. We all need to find our own path by walking on it. And for that we cannot depend only on advice. 

What we really need is guidance. A sense of direction. 

And that comes only from wisdom.

Wisdom - The Eternal Torch

Wisdom is not suggestive, it creates intrigue.

Wisdom does not give direct answers, it leads you to find them.

Wisdom does not shout, it needs to be heard with a keen heart.

Wisdom does not attack the immediate, it dives into the root cause.

It provides clarity and offers direction to walk the path meant for us.

And in that journey, we begin to discover our own solutions.

Solutions that last, because they build resilience, clarity, and inner strength.

Wisdom not only gives direction—it lays the very foundation on which a fulfilling life can be built.

But if wisdom is so radiant and essential, why don’t we hear it more often?

That’s because wisdom doesn’t compete with noise. It whispers to those who listen keenly.

Wisdom - The Silent Saviour

Wisdom seldom speaks first. 

Because it has seen both - the shallowness and depth of life.

It knows what feels real today, will become illusion tomorrow.

It knows the depth that holds life, will stay forever. 

Wisdom knows that real transformation begins in silence, and not in the noise of daily.

And hence, it chooses to speak when the need arises and not to follow a schedule.

Yet, if one truly listens, then wisdom talks. Not through social media, not through big gatherings. But through subtle dialogue, words of care, and acts of love.

Wisdom is all around us

Our scriptures carry timeless wisdom. 

Those who read the Bhagavad Geetā, the Upanishads, or any other sacred texts regularly, will discover deep insights within them.

But for many, this may not feel practical or accessible. 

For generations, we have relied on wisdom from the previous generation to navigate through life. 

Our parents, grandparents and other elders in our family, who have navigated life learning from their elders, are a rich source of wisdom for us. But these elders often sit quietly—not because they have nothing to say, but because they’ve lived enough to speak only when asked with sincerity.

I often ask my parents about their younger days and the challenges they faced and how they sailed through life when it was not so convenient as today. 

Listening them talk with excitement, reliving their old days, not just gives me happiness, but the nuances in their words, the struggle of their journey, the emotions in their expression teaches me more than any advice ever can.

When we intently listen to our elders — not just to their words but to their pauses, their choices, their stories—we discover wisdom shaped by decades of real life. 

Sometimes, that quiet presence holds more depth than a dozen books.

And being heard makes them feel valued, bringing them quiet joy.

Listen, don’t just ask

Advice is helpful for the short term. 

But mistaking advice for life direction will only leave us feeling lost.

Wisdom which is all around us, is what we really need. Not by asking, but by listening. 

Because wisdom, though appearing silent, is not dumb. 

For, when it speaks, it can silence the loudest advice.
